The Kinabuhayan Caves Tour is a 15 to 45 minute trek, depending on which route is taken. It is a 20 minute uphill ride from Kinabuhayan Café to Barangay Kinabuhayan where the “main entrance” of Mt. Banahaw is. The road is bad in some spots so we suggest we ride a jeepney. If we can fill a jeepney (18 to 21 people, more if one is daring enough to ride on the roof, or as a hood ornament), then we will shoulder the cost of the jeepney.

Scenic spots on the way to the cave are:

- Yapak ni Hesus (Christ's Footprint). There seems to be a footprint on a rock under the mountain stream. Devotees light many candles around the Footprint.

- Bukal ng Tubig (Source of Water). There are several sources of natural mineral water around the mountain. In some cases, it is bubbly soda water, which is sweet to the taste. The closest bukal is beside the Footprint.

- Several natural grottos where images of the Virgin Mother, Jesus Christ, and the Christ child are venerated.

- Pinawisang Bato. At the entrance to the cave, is a standing black stone that seems to be wet with oils. Putting your hand on the stone and wiping the oils on your body is supposed to alleviate aches and pains. The caves themselves are a honeycomb of tunnels with small caverns Interspersed throughout. In some areas, there is running water up to the ankles and even the knees. One will notice religious icons placed in small alcoves if one is perceptive. The roof slopes down so one must bend down to pass through.

Although, there is a degree of difficulty in navigating the caves, one exits with a feeling of accomplishment. We cleanse ourselves in the mountain stream before making our way back.
